Let Us Help Solve Your Hydration & Electrolyte Puzzle!

We do a variety of performance tests here at Return 2 Sport, but our most helpful from a hydration, nutrition, and fueling standpoint is the Precision Hydration Sweat Test.

This is an essential test for every runner or endurance athlete because it will give you the specific ratio of sodium loss in your sweat. Everyone's is so different! I've seen people with as low as 400mg/L and as high as 2000 mg/L. 👀

If you have been experiencing, cramps, fatigue, GI distress, or poor recovery from your runs, sweat testing is going to help get you dialed in. Good news, you don't have to deal with that!

Hydration and electrolyte balance is the most essential part of how our bodies work as endurance athletes. If we can be confident in our approach with this aspect, the fueling and running components will take care of themselves.

Summertime Hydration Necessities

It's almost summertime! ☀️

But with that comes a lot of sweat and overwhelming heat 🥵🫠

While we often times think the solution is just to hydrate more, that is only half of the equation. And as nice as it would be to just say "I'll drink an LMNT," it's not quite that simple. 🧂

We all have specific sodium levels in our sweat and taking too much or too little will lead to serious problems. 😅

Recovery is the primary reason to stay on top of electrolyte and fluid balance in the summer. Being dialed in with electrolytes will allow you to show up to the next run or workout feeling fresh and ready to go. 🏃‍➡️

Don't know your numbers? Let us test them for you. 👨‍🔬

Sweat Testing Takeaways

The main reason that sweat testing is so valuable is that you can learn your relationship with proper hydration and salt.

Take the guessing out of the equation and find out exactly how salty of a sweater you are.

There is a large fluctuation in sodium rates between different people. However, there is not much fluctuation in the amount of sodium in a persons sweat so that means it is a one and done test.

If you want to know that this part of your race planning and training hydration is dialed in, give us a call or schedule your sweat test at the link below!
